Pricing

Start free. Pay for work that lands.

One operation price covers writes, model reads, and claims. Your first 100K operations are free, then usage continues at the same predictable rate.

Core functionality

  • Typed schemas and SDK
  • Reads, writes, and claims
  • Live updates
  • Postgres data sources
  • 25 concurrent connections
  • 1 GiB audit storage included, then $1.00/GiB

First 100K operations free, then $5.00 per million with billing enabled.

Everything in Scale, plus:

  • Committed operation volume
  • Negotiated connection limit
  • Negotiated audit log storage
  • Single sign-on
  • Audit log export
  • Customer-managed encryption keys
  • Private networking
  • Custom limits

Committed usage and limits are set in your contract.

Free includes the first 100K operations, then continues pay as you go. Scale starts at a $250 monthly minimum, which already covers 50M operations; usage beyond that stays at the same predictable rate.

See what billions of operations cost

One billion operations is $5,000. Move beyond it—the estimate uses the same pricing function as billing.

One predictable operation rate

Free meters only usage above its allowance. Scale charges the $250 minimum or actual usage, whichever is higher. Both use the same flat rate.

What counts as an operation

One number covers the three ways people and agents use coordinated state.

writes

One every time someone changes something. Adding, editing, and removing all count the same, and changing 500 things is 500 operations however they are sent.

model reads

One every time someone reads something the engine answers. Reads a client already has locally never reach us and never count.

claim creates

One every time someone takes ownership of a row so others wait their turn. Holding it and releasing it are free.

Why Enterprise pricing is custom

Private networking, customer-managed encryption keys, 24×7 support, uptime and support SLAs, and custom contract terms require dedicated engineering and operational capacity. Enterprise pricing reflects that investment so we can provide the reliability those deployments require.

Longer-term commitments and larger deployments can be priced around committed usage. Talk to us and we will shape the contract around the workload.

Pricing questions, answered

What counts toward usage?

A successful write, a model read answered by the engine, or a claim create each counts as one operation. Local cached reads, holding or releasing a claim, and connecting a client do not add billable operations.

What does not count?

Failed and rejected requests do not count. A retry using the same Idempotency-Key is deduplicated and counted once. Cached reads, holding or releasing a claim, and connecting a client are also free.

What happens when Free reaches its limit?

The first 100,000 monthly operations are free. If billing is enabled, additional successful operations continue at $5.00 per million with no monthly minimum. Without billing enabled, requests stop at the free allowance so there is no surprise charge.

Why do you have minimum commitments?

Minimum commitments let us maintain responsive support and keep developing the platform quickly. Scale's $250 monthly minimum is not an extra fee: it includes 50M operations at the published rate card.

Why does Enterprise cost more?

Private networking, customer-managed encryption keys, 24×7 support, SLAs, and custom contract terms require dedicated engineering and support capacity. For longer commitments or larger deployments, we can discuss volume pricing and a custom arrangement.

Do unused commitments roll over?

No. Unused committed usage does not roll over to the next month.

What if I exceed my minimum commitment?

You pay for actual usage when it exceeds the minimum. The minimum is the baseline monthly charge, not a fee added on top of metered usage.

Are core features the same across all plans?

Yes. Every plan includes the same core coordination engine. Higher plans add capacity and operational features such as SSO, audit logs, private networking, customer-managed encryption keys, and SLAs, as shown in the plan comparison.

Is the operation rate discounted at higher volume?

No. Free pay-as-you-go and Scale use one predictable rate of $5.00 per million operations. One billion operations on Scale costs $5,000, and the rate does not change as the workload grows.

Are storage and connections metered?

Free includes 1 GiB and Scale includes 50 GiB of audit log storage; both then charge $1.00 per additional GiB-month when billing is enabled. Concurrent connections remain a cap, not a meter, and Enterprise capacity is priced in the contract.

When should we use Enterprise?

Enterprise is for committed volume, negotiated limits, private networking, customer-managed encryption keys, single sign-on, and an uptime guarantee.
